Don't know if I can really explain how an idea takes shape, my friend. I might see an object or color that I find interesting then I have to be in the right "mood" or I can't skin a thing. When that mood, inspiration, whatever you want to call it does hit though, everything just seems to fall into place...
Hummm, I'm sure at Wincustomize (Stardock) there's all kinds of tutorials since it is their product and skinning it would be their specialty. Then there's Skinartistry and Skinnalicious, both sites have skinners that offer their expertise in building skins and they're lots of nice folks at both sites always willing to help.
I kind of progressed through LiteStep then Aston then .msstyles and then Windowblinds myself. Through LOTS of trial and error and ALOT of patience (which I have little of to begin with!), I figured it out for myself and yes, in the beginning it can be time consuming until you become familiar with what element does what and where it goes then it's fairly easy and doesn't take much time at all. If anyone wants to do it they can...it's certainly not rocket science, it just seems that way when you first start...
Check out the skinning sites, check there forums, keep your cool and Good Luck, my friend!
This is unique..how do you know how to make this. I have the whole object desktop, but don't even have a clue on how to make a wb. Perhaps it takes too long, but I would like to givit a go if anyone can tell me where 2 find de tutorial? Thanks
Heehee...seems you can always find a "nit", my friend...but actually that's a good thing, it keeps me on my toes! Really am glad you like it though, Bro!
Just wondering...did you ever finish the WB you were working on or did you finally hang it up? I kept expecting to see it show up...it really is a good design, you know.
