Overall, it looks pretty cool. I really like it. However, it's really hard to read all the programs in the start menu

Thanks Cunjo! :-)
Actually it shouldn't be any harder on your graphics card than any other VS, it's basically the same setup as most VS's....standard native .bmps except with magic pinky and solids stripes aligned to create a semi-transparent effect. No difference at all except the end effect... :-)

Thanks Becky! :-)
Wish it could be more true semi-transparent but unfortunately with .bmps and magic pinky, it had to be alternating transparent and solid areas instead of per pixel transparency like the kind available through Windowblinds. But hope you enjoy it, my friend! :D

That looks hot, but I would think that the transparency might be a bit hard on my graphics processor :<

I think that's Linux' main downfall...not enough programs that are compatible and it seems software developers are slow or even reluctant to create everything with the same amount of compatibility in mind. My son's not much into computers, believe it or not, but he sure does like his X-Box! :-)

Hehe, my son can spend his day in front of the monitor playing games, watching movies... I'm sure he would also like to have the X-Box, but that would be too much :D

No more Windows? Surely you'll get curious when MS finally releases Vista...or whatever they'll end up finally calling it. :D I read recently in a tech mag, they've moved the release date up again to Q2-2007 so I suppose the penguins' working a little faster but I'm still too spoiled, lazy, whatever you want to call it, to take the full Linux plunge! I hope you can use some of my walls, skins, etc. anyway and I hope you'll enjoy this little Bryce ant city too, my friend... :-)

Well, Rick, I'm afraid I got addicted to Linux after all :D I have Mandriva 2006 and SuSe 10.0 (hope to have 10.1 soon). Of course I am curious about Vista, but I don't really believe MS is going to surprise us. Anyway, we will see. And we still have Windows on one of our home machines - my son's actually, because he plays games that will not work with Linux.
